Greenlight Traffic Engineering, LLC is currently seeking a Traffic EIT/Design Engineer to add to our team in the Phoenix metropolitan area. We are a small, family-oriented Traffic Engineering firm that provides a flexible work environment for our employees. Ideal candidates will possess experience with HCS/Synchro/SimTraffic, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation; have interests/skills in traffic impact studies, transportation safety and planning analyses, traffic engineering design, traffic operations, and systems engineering. This position requires a candidate who is self-motivated, has excellent attention to detail, can prepare written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports.
Greenlight Traffic Engineering staff work in a virtual setting (without a traditional office). Project managers provide direction and support to staff; however, staff is self-directed and responsible for completing quality deliverables and meeting internal and client schedule deadlines. Employees have weekly in-person meetings, daily check-ins and continued training through video conference meetings.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 2+ years of traffic engineering experience, including preparing traffic impact studies
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
- A secure place to work at home with no interruptions
- Fast (100 MB/sec download speeds) cable internet connection
- Feel comfortable talking with clients and other team members
- Self discipline to manage one’s own work tasks without management oversight
